Matt 10:7-8
Pastor Tara Benning is a minister with the Assemblies of God who has faithfully served in ministry positions throughout the greater Sacramento area. She carries a deep passion for seeing hearts healed and lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.
Tara has served as the Senior Chaplain at Juvenile Hall for eight years, ministered on high school campuses, and—together with her husband, Eric—led Celebrate Recovery and The Landing, a Christ-centered recovery program that helps youth find healing and hope. These years of ministry have deepened her compassion for people from every walk of life and strengthened her calling to bring freedom and restoration through the love of Jesus.
Tara offers one-on-one counseling for inner healing and deliverance, helping individuals experience true freedom and restoration. In addition to personal ministry, she provides training for church staff, pastors, and leaders—equipping them to walk in freedom themselves and to effectively minister healing and deliverance within their own congregations.
Through Outcry Ministries, Tara and Eric Benning lead Spiritual Bootcamp, a powerful equipping course designed to strengthen believers and develop ministry leaders. Eric has served alongside Tara in youth, recovery, healing, and deliverance ministries. He is also a local business owner who gives back to the community through financial mentoring and service on various boards.
Eric Benning leads worship for Outcry Ministries. He is an anointed musician and worship leader whose heart for God creates an atmosphere of freedom and encounter through worship.
Married for 30 years, Eric and Tara share a powerful testimony of God’s redemptive grace. Eric is celebrating 26 years clean and sober, and together they have raised four adult children and are blessed with one grandchild. As a united team, they continue to serve faithfully wherever God leads them—raising up others to walk in freedom, healing, and purpose.
